He's Back

Posted on December 2, 2009 at 6:42 PM

So much for retirement. Early Wednesday, Allen Iverson agreed to a one-year, non-guaranteed deal with the Philadelphia 76ers. If Iverson is still on the roster on January 10th then the deal will become guaranteed. This will be Iverson's second stint with the team where he has spent the majority of his career. He is expected to play Monday night when Philadelphia hosts the Denver Nuggets.

Although Iverson could feel slightly offended by the offer, he essentially has no choice at this point. He was virtually unwanted by the rest of the league, and needs to prove that not only can he still produce, but that he can do it without being a major headache.

Regardless of whether this move is popular or not, it has people talking about the Sixers. It seems as if the Sixers have been more talked about in the past 48 hours than in the past two years. Monday night should be quite interesting.

Man I don't like this move. We were bound for a top pick and our younger players cant develop i hope Iverson has enough left in the tank to make it worth it.
